Great news, Members!

Thanks to all who made Friday’s Black History Month mixer such a success. Local 1825 not only celebrated with the community the history of those who have paved ways for us, but the event served as an occasion to celebrate our future. As I previously mentioned, Gov. Albert Bryan pledged his support of Local 1825 on Friday evening. Today, I am excited to announce that he has reinforced his commitment by signing the renewed St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix Federation of Teachers Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Local 1825 was well-represented on International Women's Day by its staffers during Sen. Donna Frett-Gregory's "Perfectly Imperfect" event, which celebrated the outstanding achievements of local women who dared to #breakthebias and forge paths for others to follow.

Local 1825 appreciates Sen. Donna Frett-Gregory for her work with Local 1825 as a former commissioner of the V.I. Department of Education and as a legislator.
